Little Red Riding HoodA little girl in a red hood was riding her bicycle down the forest path. She knew her mother had told her not to ride down that particular path, but she did anyway. She was not a particularly obedient little girl.
She watched the dense trees and bushes carefully, keeping a watchful eye out for danger. For this forest was filled with it. She listened to the sounds of the woods. She heard the gentle sounds of birds, the sounds of young animals prancing through the leaves far off in the distance. But just out of earshot, too quiet for her to perceive, was the sound of a hungry animal growling.
This hungry animal was a wolf. And the little girl looked quite delicious. The wolf slowly crept out of the bushes into view of the little girl. He drooled, hungrily.
"Greetings, little girl," the wolf growled.
"Hello, Wolf," the girl said, casually.
"What's in that basket of yours, girl?" the wolf smiled, starving.
"Nothing of your concern," the girl said, frustrated with the wolf.

Watched only by his owl. Rumplestiltskin's Revenge: Smiles of Snow     When Gwyn smiled, she became the most beautiful creature on earth. When she didn't, which was most of the time, she was simply the most beautiful woman.
     Her face was meant for smiles, with cheeks perfectly shaped to rise up to her big brown eyes that tilted up in the corners just enough to make her seem mysterious, shrinking them so that they were no longer staring straight at you, suggesting they could see all your secrets, and her very full lips stretched back, their red getting just a little less intense. When she smiled, she became approachable, a teenage girl again.
     But when she laughed, she became the most beautiful thing on the planet, the most beautiful creation in history.  Her laughter was a rich, bubbling noise, wild and free, like a spring bursting up from deep underground. It showed the life inside her, the life that she normally hid behind a reserved front, the power inside Sleeping BeautySleeping Beauty

where she slept away the fading day
within her crypt bedecked in rose-gold,
yet to time she remains a slave.
With nightfall she rises from her grave,
by moons wan light she appears fay
draped in voluminous lace of old,
upon your soul death's name she'll engrave.
From ivory lips a kiss none can save,
an elusive bloom that won't stay,
her love yet remains ever so cold,
death will be all you have to crave.
As she returns back to the grave,
to her memory the lost ones pray,
slumbering amid decay and mold,
vigil kept only by the brave. Insult to InjuryInsult to injury. That's what that stupid wizard did to me. Added insult to injury.
As if transforming my beautiful face into this hideous, hairy mug wasn't enough, he put up posters. Introducing the Cowardly Lion! How many princesses do you know who will believe a talking escaped circus lion who claims to be a prince under a spell? And the blasted wizard didn't even have the decency to monologue properly while he was casting his spell, so I can't even be certain that a kiss from a princess will break it!
Of course, all of my research to date indicates that a princess' kiss will break this enchantment quite nicely, but one can never be too careful. If only I could find a princess who would be willing to try it! I mean, how bad could kissing a lion really be?
I had a brief glimmer of hope when that Dorothy girl came along. True, she wasn't technically a princess, but I joined her questing party, and fable dictates that would qualify perfectly, seeing as she would have become a pr Blood MoonIn a blaze of glory that shall echo down
We ride through the sky
'Neath a blood moon high
The wolven run at our horses' feet
Their eyes gleaming at the race
Teeth snapping at the chase
Spears and swords glow dragon's teeth
For the hunt they thirst
And honour to first
Bay! the pack, and strike! the metal
Blood moon's glow is all around
The quarry's scent has been found
Hunt the prey til the stars burn out
Go with all your zeal-
Hear that last death squeal
Cheers rise to the blood moon's might

Knights riding around in shining armour
They all just seem so chivalrous
But are they just for show or
Do they live up to the stories?
Standing around all day I

With these dreams that I've finally found
