Literature Text

Sometimes, all you can do is wait for the world to come tumbling down, particularly if that world was made of Jenga blocks.
I twirled my moustache as I caught myself in the mirror. I looked utterly divine in my Cath Kidston blue polka dot dress.
Just as the Jenga tower was leaning, one of the players picked me up in time and placed me in a paper boat.
FFM Links - July 26, 2014Ground control to FFMers: Hallo Spaceboy.  It's time to turn and face the strain but don't look down.  Guess what day it is today?  VIVA!
You've done well so far, but today is the day to prove your flash writing chops.  Are you:
Heroes
or
Zeroes?
...you decide.
By which wie mean, Week Four, Challenge Three  SPACE ODDITY FISTPUMP!
Instructions
Flash Fiction Month is about writing one piece of very short "flash" fiction (55-1000 words) every day of July.
Paste a link to your flash fiction piece for July 24th in the comments below.
Every day, there will be a new deviation where you can post a link to your piece of flash fiction for the day.
From time to time, we'll ramp it up a gear and ask you to try your hand at a challenge. It's your choice whether you do the challenge, bu

Challenge #11: Take a Bow(ie)

Element ONE: DAVID BOWIE DAY!!!!!!:- It's the day you've all been waiting for, the day that makes all the other dull old FFM challenges worthwhile!  Yes! It's the day when you need to write a story based on the musical or videographic output of David Robert Jones.  Further links to goose your earthling muses are available in the prompts section below.

Element TWO: LADY STARDUST:- Your story should feature either a cross-dressing, transgender or androgynous character, or a character who subverts gender norms by playing with the reader's perception of their gender.

Element THREE: C'MON, WE'VE REALLY GOT A GOOD THING GOING:- Your story should have a hook at the start. So it needs to have something intriguing or unexpected at the start to make the reader keep reading (like that's going to be necessary, it's a Bowie inspired story, FFS)

Element FOUR: WHERE HAVE ALL THE GOOD TIMES GONE:- Your story needs to have a sting in the tail.  It needs to have a Plot twist at the end.

So, so bad. I want FFM to be over. I'm no longer interested or excited by this but I promised myself that I was going to attempt all of the challenges.

'As the World Falls Down' by David Bowie. Labyrinth is one of my favourite films. :B
Plot twist chosen: deus ex machina. Shut up, of course it's a plot twist. :paranoid:
